What is the most important fact from each video that I think will help me in using Illustrator?
Adobe Illustrator:
- Illustrator uses vector based images which do not decrease in quality when scaled up and down, which is useful for many needs but highly recommended for logos.
New Document:
- Sizings of documents can be customized for many needs and even include standard layout sizes for a variety of web-based devices.
ArtBoards:
- Artboard is found under the Windows tab and allows you to view multiple documents together to help see a bigger more cohesive picture.
Shapes:
- There are a number of outlines of basic shapes, which can be adjusted and customized using control widgets which provide information regarding scale and orientation.
Brushes:

- Using the paintbrush tool you can create a basic line brush drawing, however, the brushstroke can be further manipulated and customized within the selection of the brush library.
Color:
- Line and color fill applications are similar to photoshop but can be further customized by double-clicking on the swatches. Line and fill colors can easily be separate.
Text/Font:
- Objects can be filled with text, text can wrap around images and objects, and paragraph areas can be transformed or modified.
Transformation:
Objects/shapes can be altered in proportion simply by selecting around the object and moving the scale with your mouse, however, perspective and warping can be controlled through the distortion tools. Control Panel:
- Each illustrator tool has a number variety of changes which can be made to selected objects within the color panel and can be customized to best suit your design needs.
Viewing:
- Artboards can be divided, separates, viewed at once, zoomed in zoomed out, and previewed for printing or for the web.

- Object stacking order is on the right-hand control menu under "arrange". You can move between artboards by entering the assigned number of a board you wish to focus on.
